Misssalad, duct-tape99, dorkalert (who runs an ask human redglare blawrgh) and I have been coming up with tons and tons of headcanons for modern human!Ancestors!
Here are some of the things that we’ve (mostly Salad and Duct-tape) come up with!
Most of them are in their thirties unless otherwise stated! And they’re mostly the aunts/uncles of the trolls.
The Signless (still in need of a human name) is (and I think this is sort of what Salad said) part of this group that tries to uncover corruption and minor government conspiracies. He gets found out by the Psiioniic but he doesn’t rat them out so they’re buds. The Signless is Slick’s half brother or something and occasionally pops in on him and Karkat when he’s running from the fucking government and needs a place to stay. His relationship with Karkat is more older-brotherly than anything else. He writes important notes in Daedric (aka Alternian) so people can’t read it at first glance. Also he’s Spanish and I have the huge urge to name him Jesus. Note that he’s the youngest out of everyone at 27.
Ada Megido (The Handmaid) works as a housemaid for a Mr. English who prefers to call her his “Handmaid”. She hates her job but can’t quit because of his influence over others. If she left him she wouldn’t be able to find anyone else who’d pay her. This really pisses Diamonds Droog off as she is his younger (by like two years) sister and Mr. English is the leader of a rival… organized crime group. Mob. Whatever.
Tavio Nitram (The Summoner) rides bulls for a living! In various rodeos across Alberta. Or at least he did before he met his girlfriend. He then decided to travel with her across pretty much the entire planet. He’s quite the ladies’ man and is nicknamed “The Summoner” because he *puts on sunglasses* summons all the chicks to him. YEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHH
Sebastian Captor (The Psiioniic) is a member of Anonymous or something but yeah he goes to protests and stuff and is pretty much on
Jesus’sThe Signless’s side when it comes to uncovering government corruption. He works as The Condesce’s secretary because she blackmailed him into doing it. Why? Hint: She fancies him.Dianne Leijon (The Disciple) is the owner of a small pet store. She met
JesusThe Signless when he went in to buy a pet crab! It was love at first sight even though as a realist such things don’t exist (That was a badly executed joke please don’t send me 50+ messages about how you’re a realist and you think it exists it’s not a big deal). Anyway yeah. She supports his cause wholeheartedly and keeps a journal all about his escapades.Dolores Maryam (The Dolorosa) is a school teacher and loves children, though she is unable to conceive. She is the Signless’s adoptive mother (both he and Slick are orphans aww) at 55. She doesn’t look 55 though and is very dedicated to both her job and her son (awwwwww).
Regina “Redglare” Pyrope (Neophyte Redglare) is a lawyer obsessed with justice mostly. She made an alliance with Mindfang (which may or may not involve sex) who is involved in a shit ton of illegal affairs, and is always her defense lawyer when she gets in trouble (which is often). She never lost a case.
Also she dies. tldr; Mindfang is a bitch.
Maegan “Mindfang” / “Marquise” Serket (Marquise Spinneret Mindfang) is a gambler and illegal shit-doer. Banged most of the people on this list. Vriska Serket’s hero. Also an internet pirate (ohoho get it guys get it because she’s a pirate). Lost her eye in a bar fight and lost her arm in a gun fight. Fun times.
Darren Leroy Zahhak (E%ecutor Darkleer) is the Condesce’s personal… law enforcer. Or assassin, whichever works. He is pretty terrified of everyone despite looking down upon most of them. He owes Mindfang a lot of favours. Used to be a mechanic.
Hannibal Makara (The Grand Highblood) is fucking scary. Also part of the Condesce’s arsenal of pain, he takes down her enemies in a much bloodier manner than Darren does. He doesn’t know that Gamzee exists. Actually he’s fucking crazy so I don’t think he really knows that anyone exists.
Orlando “Dualscar” Ampora (Orphaner Dualscar) has a borderline creepy obsession with the Condesce. He is also one of the higher ups in the government but still notably beneath her. Used to have a passionate hate-relationship with Mindfang until he cockblocked her. Like, badly. So that ended.
Candice Peixes (Her Imperial Condescension) is a powerful yet underground government-type person. She’s pretty much allowed to do whatever she wants because nobody wants to get in her way of anything. She is Feferi’s aunt (Fef lives with her flithy rich Grandma aka Gl’bgolyb) and is always trying to be her favourite, so that when she dies she inherits her vast wealth (despite already having loads of money). Despite being the resident huge bitch of the universe, she has a soft spot for Fef because she sees a lot of herself in her.

The Signless (Jesús Maryam) The leader of a revolutionary movement against corrupt government. He and his comrades break into government offices and other various places in search of evidence against certain corrupt political leaders. He’s working towards the center of this corrupt ring (Condescension). He’s Slick’s illegitimate half-brother and Karkat’s godfather. He occasionally drops in on Karkat and Slick while on the run from the cops or angry political supporters. Even though he’s hardly ever in one place, he tries his best to be there for Karkat. Daedric (Alternian) is used as a message system between him and his undercover agents. He met the Psiiconiic during one heist after Psiiconic had stay late working over time and had fallen asleep at his desk. Things were all cool, since they both hate Condescension, and Psiiconiic gave Signless information for a while before completely jumping ship to help him out full time.
The Psiioniic (Sebastian Captor) He worked with Anonymous on a small scale hacking case. Said small-scale case ended up ruining one of Condescensions many illegal activites, and she chose Sebastian as the one at fault. Instead of jailing or killing him, she decided she needed a new servant, and black-mailed him into working for her.
The Disciple (Dianne Leijon) Dianne was a journalist trying to get her “big break.” She thought if she could interview Signless, it could get her the high-end job she always wanted. She began studying his “work” in order to find a pattern and then meet him in person. When she found him after a small heist, he was impressed enough to let her interview him. After learning his motives and finding that she agreed, she asked to join his movement. Her new job was keeping track of their finds and organizing what would be released to the public. She runs a blog that helps her keep contact with supporters and collect leads.
